i personally like to produce on the xl, i started with cubase first, but the problem i had was that when i go to the big studios to transfer to 24 track tape, they would either be running mac, as opposed to pc. or pro tools, or logic, and that was one of the main reasons why i got the mpc, 1) hands ons hence pads and 2) compatability, and last but not least the name. believe it or not, when you tell a producer that you are on a mpc, you seem to get more respect, i know a bit trivial, but thats the way it is. one good thing with fruity is that you can export a wav file of a sequence, i usually do that, cause i aint got no modules, so i just transfer tht 4 bar sequence onto the mpc, and then compose the rest of the track on the mpc. i think tht is really hype. plus the amount of sounds, instruments you get for £90 quid aint too bad either, the best of both worlds.
by the way does any one know how to do tht with cubase??
