Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey, I just got my 2000xl basic stock model last week, and Ive been having some fun with it, but Ive already run into the problem of not having enough memory!

How much doesn an expansion run, and is it an easy thing to install?

The average cost is $15. They are very easy to install. Open the case and snap the memory module into a slot -- while wearing a ground strap, of course.

Installing an internal ZIP is more of a headache (the first time), after that it gets easy, like 45 minutes easy. I've done several XL installs.

yeah, but bsides... go to www.mpc2000xl.com, he has a tutorial for putting the memory in.

but when he says, "lightly insert memory into white slots".... its not as easy as he says it is.... for me it wasnt, the shit kept getting unangled and i had to actually put force into it...

i dunno

Yeah, it should be ZIF (zero insertion force) but we all know how that goes.
I guess as long you aren't trying to force your hand right through the board and all..
