The average cost is $15. They are very easy to install. Open the case and snap the memory module into a slot -- while wearing a ground strap, of course.

yo do a search through my posts.
there is a thread in there with a link to memory thats 5 bucks and is legit.
i suggest that, i also suggest advil because installing the memory is a headache

Installing an internal ZIP is more of a headache (the first time), after that it gets easy, like 45 minutes easy. I've done several XL installs.

yeah, but bsides... go to www.mpc2000xl.com, he has a tutorial for putting the memory in.
but when he says, "lightly insert memory into white slots".... its not as easy as he says it is.... for me it wasnt, the shit kept getting unangled and i had to actually put force into it...

Yeah, it should be ZIF (zero insertion force) but we all know how that goes.
I guess as long you aren't trying to force your hand right through the board and all..
