I use Cubase for tracking only. All my tracks are sequenced in the MPC.

I think we have to be careful to make blanket statements without updating ourselves. Protools MIDI, in the latest versions of the software, are just as tight as my cubase, logic or MPC. If one does not know how to set it up that way, then say so, but just saying it does not do its duty and not have done a recent test to determine, and using old information to base our opinion on, is senseless.
Truth of the matter - I use PT to do the majority of my MIDI. It works fine. In years past PT was not as good, but its no different than anything else; in time, things get better. And today, I do almost everything in PT.
