akai sucks, they come out with all this new shit a year after i buy the 1000

i had this shit for a year and now i'm stuck with it unless i sell it for 10 bucks

another option for you would be to save money and get a decent computer... whatever the 1k can't do, can be done on a computer with the appropriate software... hope that helps...

regarding the 1000 price...TOO BAD!!! Use what you have an quit following the next newest bigest thing people.....comsumorism...comsumorism..... The 1000 is a very capable and decent unit...of course there will be a bunch of people dumping the mpc1000 to get the newest thing....but its not the color of a unit that matters its the user of the unit.. and how he uses it...

i think alot of these cats jumpin ship are cats who really havent mastered the 1k..they think the newest equipment gonna make their beats ten times better but folks gotta realizee a few extra features wont do that..if you cant make heat on a 1k..what makes you think the 2500 do so much more for your beats..its what you put into it..that counts

I love my 1k by the way and feel no need to upgrade anytime soon.

I'd like a 2500 like most others here but will be able to buy a 4000 Plus for the same or less in the UK if the pricing scheme is as expexcted.
