THE "JESSIAH GLITCH"
Those who experimented with this nice 'bug' know what i'm talking about. Those who don't,check an MP3 example here.
As we can see on Sparq's video the glitch-effect is no longer there (it's a normal, short loop now).
Now that Akai has taken out this 'bug' i'm afraid it will never be possible to create that same crunchy sound on the 1K again...
Therefore i ask everyone to be silent for a moment as we remember THE GLITCH

Im not kidding.. i just got a tear in my eye. this glitch is so great. Ive been playing with it constantly for hours now and im getting more crazy and wonderful sounds all the time!

this was the thing that was going to make the 1k famous like the sp-1200 or the mpc60! this glitch was the thing that would make my grand children in the year 2063 go "yo, shlomie, i wish i had a mpc1000 like they had in the old days when the beats was so fat! im gonna go on mEga bay and bet 1000000$ for it!"

please AKAI! reconsider this wonderful bug for the 2.0 os!!! or even make a hotkey for this!

sparq, mail your homie at akai or somthing, your the man! 8)

i think you are wrong. V.2.0 is whats going to make the 1K a classic, not jessiah's glitch, sorry. get over it or keep V.1.07

yeah well you know what no offense to sparq but i think hey may have done it wrong becuase i was messing around with it when it first was reupped and i got that same sound that sparq had. but then i tried it again a few days later paying deep attention to what i was doing and it worked. i think we personally(the people who actually mess around with it) need to try it out when the os comes out. because you had to program a lot of shit to get the sound i just am unable to believe that akai was able to fix it.....

Boaber, search for the "Mini Glitch Tutorial" its all there step by step,,,

In a nutshell tho put your samples endpoint to somewhere between 1 and 32, switch loop on, then in pgm turn the samp to note on and bash away!

In a way true, but all the new features are unlikely to have 'that mpc1000 sound', whereas minny glitchy jessius did...

I think someonewill figure out a way to install both OSs and choose on startup. Cant be too hard.

i dont think they meant to take it away. As a programmer you do bug fixes and sometimes you quite often have to re-write alot of code. what a programmer might have seen as a error to us was a good thing, but when u see it in code and not in practice u dont realise what it was, its treated as a an error in code and needs to be fixed.

I know a bug that gets on my nerves!!n its when I copy the names of sequnces, sounds or tracks, and paste them so i dont have to type everything in all the time, the problems is if i paste a name and i move the cursor to edit the last part of it, its magically shows up the rest of the default letters of the name i pasted over. Very annoying!

Exactly Pen
that's basically what i said in the cowbell's thread.
