did anybody try to read something from the LCD display in samplekings preview video?
it's impossible!
sparq did it much better in his presentation of mpc1k OS v2!

It was a demo, not a tutorial. You can't expect much. The video was very interesting and useful weeks ago when no one knew anything about the 2500. It's still helpful for someone who has no access to a 2500 and is thinking about getting one. If you want to see the display close up you'll have to order full version of the video.
