How about a giant hand that reaches out and slaps people who think they need more OS features?

Alot of people use software sequencers just for Pianoroll & Grid style programming. I'll love to have those abilities in the 1k OS.

Pianoroll note length will be determined by how long you press down on the pad.

Grid note entry will be handle by the pads as well.
Each pad in a track will represent a step.
all 16 pads per track = 16 steps/ 1bar
all 4 banks of 16 pads, A B C D = 4 bars

Export of track data into midi or wave file would be Bananas!!!!!!

(Mode) button + (Program) PAD7 + (F5) button = *NEW* Track Export AS: Midi or audio Loop.

this feature is super cool.
as almost all the new-born musicians are grown on software sequencers.
this feature will build a extremly nice bridge for them.

anyway I don't see why in 2005 they don't apply pianoroll and the good old TR method on mpc1k.
1k can be a classic with more of all features in this thread.
2.5k won't cos of its bigger size and more weight.
Think about Elektron devices. Those specs means classic.

nuh uh..
not having auto chromatic remains outright silly. nothing wrong with askin for that.

nowadays the softwares have FAR MORE features than our beloved mpcs.
to spread our love and passion to the devices,
most of the users send advices just want to make it better.
I don't see any drawback to make it classic.

I think akai want more ppl to switch from SW to HW too.
There is no point to be against that.
And we r not all that kind of ppl asking for more features instead of making music.

This kind of talk ends here.
It makes no sense to continue talking on this kind of subject.

Man, I love the way. All thesesuper producers, who take the time out of they're busy schedules, to inform us on how wack we are, for desiring added features to a product that is lacking a few options that'll speed up our production process. How whack is that?!!!!!!!![/b]

I think only 2 more things will improve a lot

1, auto-chomatic

2, quantized data wheel movement in step edit
