cosign.

i would always set my programs up with the same two pads for kick and snare. and now those two pads are completely dead.

i'ma try the thermal grease out and hope for the best....

put it like this in baseball, everyone who hits the ball, doesn't break the bat. but if you go by people's bat breaking when they hit the ball, will that stop you from going up to the plate? no...

hahaha but a bat doesnt cost 1000 beans

Yeah if you want the ful 127 level just put on full level. I wonder how hard people are actually hitting the pads cause I had mine for about 2 years and all my pads are fine.

you'll see when u get it, with sensitivity up, its really waaaaay up. like you blow on the pads and it triggers :) People have been having goood luck fixing their pads, see thread below.

If you want good pads, get the 2000xl or better yet the 60, but you'll take 10 times as long to timestretch and load a beat. I'd rather have a faster sampler with chepaer pads.

I've owned axl7 and a mpc2000 and was very heavy handed with them. Never had any problems. But my 1000 is giving me a lot of pad education.

Weirdly, my 'full level' button doesn't always work these days, even though I didn't use it much and never hit it hard!

i dont hit my pads hard.

it was just from using the same two pads more than others that they eventually died. i've had my 1000 for almost two years and those pads eventually died in the last couple monthes.

not everyone with pad problems were neccesarily elbow dropping the pads.
