Saving entire memory

What's goin on everybody? I'm having some issues when I save the entire memory on my flash card. I want to save the entire memory so I have the entire project on one file (so I dont have to load up everything seperately)

The problem I am having is when I save a new project, the sequences tend to replace the sequences in all my other projects. Leading to a lot of angry outbursts. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for checkin out the post.

im with u here. this is a definite bug im sure of it. i do the same, i will save entire memory in a SPECIFIC folder or create a new for a new song, and sometimes i find that its overwritten the sequences of another song i did not even touch. this happened for the 20th time during christmas, and it overwrote my best tune ive ever done, which made me super pissed off. my only suggestion is wat ive been recommended, which is to avooid 'save entire memory' and use 'save all programs and samples' and then 'save all sequences and songs', doest take any longer, and seems not to really mess up. im clearly not the only person suffering from a buggy mpc.

You have to set the saving mode to overwrite every time you save in a new folder.

I allways name my projects "Project01" because if i rename my project to for example super-beat.prj, the mpc wont remember that name next time.
Its just a hazzle renaming it from prjoect01 every time.

So just rename the folder!

thats exactly what i do. always name it project01 for that very reason, and always select the mpc to replace all files, i watch the mpc do its thing, it deletes all the existing stuff in the folder, then rewrites it with anything new ive added. turn off the mpc, turn it back on, and its not **** there, nothing has happened, all the older files and seq still there. yes i could save everything every time to a new folder, that would work. but that is a bug, which needs to be fixed...the 'save entire memory' option for me does not work. it does on random ocassions...but i can reproduce the same results 70% of the time.

Wicked. Thanks for the help. I feel like a dumbass for not thinking of this before. Hopefully they change this problem in the new OS update. Once again thanks.

that sounds really strange.. do you have a proper CF card? try to reformat the CF card and re-install the os?

Im not exaggerating, ive formatted the card on the mpc about 3 times, and reinstalled the os over 3 times, thats os 1.07. ive had other probs as well, such as the random switching off the mpc, with no xtra ram installed. anyways, cf card is a viking 512megs card, mayb its incompatible, shouldnt b, but cant think of any other answers.

damn, im sorry to say dude.. but you mpc sounds a bit fụcked... still got warranty? i would beat up the guy who sold it to you.
