Q1 controls the start point of the sample and Q2 controls the endpoint. the Q1 slider is down, the start point is at the beginning of the sample and when Q2 is slider is up, the end point is at the end of the sample. if the Q1 slider is up when you go into trim mode and you move it, the start point jumps to where it should be according to the location of the slider at the time you move it. same goes for Q2 and the endpoint.Mr mondnaR wrote:Also how does the fine adjustment you mentioned work? i was just thinking that maybe if you adjusted the end in a little way, and then wanted to adjust it out with the shift key pressed, wouldn't the slider hit the end of its slot before the sample?i was wrong with stating that you can get finer adjustments using the q-link slider and the shift key. in order to do that you would have to use the method we are all accustomed to doing and that is using the shift + left/right arrow then data wheel. i apologize for my statement in the video regarding the fine adjustment method.
ok, that's cool about the fine adjustment, but what i meant about the sliders was: if the Q1 is down, the start point is at the start of the sample, as you said. now, if the Q1 slider is up, does that mean the start point is at the end of the sample, or does it just go half way? i might have to pop up london to have a go on a 2500 if it's the same on that. cheers man, and watch it with that honky-talk!
