i just dig up mp3's to get an idea of what i'm searchin for on vinyl,

I couldn't even touch my mentor's turns until I lugged this dudes wax to and from his gigs. The last time I seen this setup in action, was when Jazzy Jay came to town. First he used the labtop for newer joints then he went to the og's for those breaks. That was cool, but alot of these cats come with only their labtops and that to me is just weak. PAY THEM DUES!!!

to address another issue, i hate to say it, but djing is easy. all you need is time and money. the know-how and the passion for music are pluses, but not even necessary. i can appreciate payin homage to tradition and the pioneers as much as the next disciple of hip hop, but sht has changed alot since then, and when i hear someone like DXT play next to MMM, i can't help but feel bad for the former.whooa, that first sentence, thats the way you feel, i'll take that as your opinion, i have to disagree sure it just playing music an all, but it's not about sittin in front of a computer pullin up files, i have rocked many partys since 82 and some were easy and some were hard, i dont now if you dj live shows but i guantee you if you suck and play the wrong sh!t you will get boo'd and clown'd especially if your a scratch dj and battle dj , i have seen it happen many times and tell q-bert or shortkut, or any of the guys in ITF or DMC battles if it's easy, i think you'll get a different take,
