dam got my hopes up too. i mean im not really that desperate for it.but i do wanna check out the new functions and just try to learn some new technics that was not avaliable before.but im guess around sat 1/21/06 it will be there if not some time late tonight possibly.but maybe granted u should check the site first before u post...and if u did why post knowing there is gonna be at least 15-50 post of useless yet annoyed again people....but i guess thats your thing
Calmplex - I only posted it because it was the first time I saw an official statement from Akaipro USA. Most of what we were hearing on this board was rumor and speculation like "Coming next week " and "Coming real soon now" and my personal favorite "It will be out sooner than you think." type comments. Well here it was in electronic print from Akiapro themselves: real hard news straight from the company about the MPC1k 2.0 release. The question isn't "Why would I post such a thing?" the question is: "Why the f**k wouldn't I?"

Glad I bought my blue one for 600...but the black one is nice. If I buy another MPC it won't be a 1000 though...it'll be a 2500.

Frustration is what you get when you expect too much from a MIDI sequencer and drum machine which has sampling functions. For us folks that already have the new OS and honestly talk about it..it is not mind blowing at all...and it does not take your tracks to the next level.

But yeah...you may have put your MPCs in the right place

I got rid of my last MPC 3000 in Sept when I picked up a few MPC 2500s.

The Chop-Shop (slice sample) function can analyze a drum loop, detect the various beats within, and map the various segments to the pads—enabling one to quickly and easily create drum kits.

That must be wrong right? We only get normal zoning dont we?
