SEE.. finally some honesty here... I co sign. I know when OS 2 drops im ognna pick my 1000 up and make better beats with it. Its not that I COULDN'T, but productivity will be alot faster with zoning.. I am ANTI mixing MPC's and PC's together unless tracking.. I just never saw a point, that's why I have FL to use too.

Right on Nym. I think OS 2.0 will help my work flow a lot. I can chop like crazy with 1.07, but it'll be a lot faster with the new features. And I don't have to USB it to my PC for time-stretch. And real-time filters with envelopes, now I can use the MPC filters more and not worry about using VSTs. When getting tied up in all of that you can lose creativty and motivation, imo. I try not to touch my computer until I record and mix. All I need is my mpc, turntable, and mo6.

Is there any point in hpoing that the "cosmetic" change to black also includes an improvement in the pads? Ofcourse only people with problems complain but it does sound like an awful lot of you guys have broken pads?

(I am not a 1k owner... I am dreading the choise between the 1k and the 2.5k)

Man, this has been the worst case of corporate communication I've ever witnessed...

the os update hehehe .when i bought the mpc1000 i knew of its do's and dont's so this to me is a very nice addition. with the os update us mpc1000 users will have a mpc2000xl/mpc1000 sampler. im sorry but thats just to cool to be true witch is why i say this os2.0 is a lie. i paid like so lil for my mpc1000 i feel bad for a guy who just bought an mpc2000xl brand new just because he can get the same deal from a mpc1000 and for less money, but why does this not add up? whats the scoop on 2000xl are they gonna pull it off the shelves or will they get an update as well?
