The best way to explain this timestretching thing is from a DJ's point of veiw.
First .in using the timestretch, make sure the loop start and loop end is tight.
Second, use the Trim mode to edit the perfect loop cutting off unwanted sounds.
Three. while in Trim mode, hit edit then go to Timestretch. Look at the Original Tempo-this is the Sequence's Tempo set it and leave it along.
The New Tempo is the Sample's Tempo this is the one, that has to be change. So what your trying to do is beat match the sample to the original tempo in the Sequence.Which is like mixing to records together with two different albums.
this is the basic understanding to beatmatching, sample matching, and phrase matching it's all the same , jus looking at or listen to rapper camron, kanye, heatmakers, etc. changing pitch or tempo to match a sequence tempo it's that easy.
I'll be doing a free tutorial on this using a complex sample soon, stay tune.
