All im sayin is Ive read tha book I had a 1k b4 you knew what it was. No disrespect. You are here to teach im here to learn. So dont teach me mpc1000 when im asking you about a function advertised to phase out 1.sampling then 2.trim in the 2500! I can SAMPLE not RECORD in the 1000 and trim then place my own sample on a pad then put it in the start of the sequence but why would you do that when you can just do this...........
1.record a midi performance with input thru monitoring an external synth
2.press play start to see it tightly starting at the beginning
3.looks like i might be getting that huge DELL WITH PADS called the mv8000 cause it will start recording its inputs at the beginning like pro tools and name it a track not a sample---but correct me if im wrong.....cant the 2500 do that in the form of DIRECT RECORDING? minus the auto-naming.
Help

sounds like u just wanna record a midi performance from an external synth, I've never had the problem ur talking about when using my proteus 2000 or my triton
I dont think u quite understand the direct recording feature, and since ur so rude I'll let u soak up the manual which is pretty easy to comprehend
I'm gonna leave it up to a REAL mpc head to figure out what he's doing wrong since he seems to know exactly what he's doing
the mpc is pretty simple, go and get the mv-8000 then u'll really be lost, u really sound like an MPC head saying that
by the way I had a 2000xl before the 1000 existed so whats ur point?
installing ram and other internal expansions is a simple process and takes 10 min. at most on any mpc and that doesnt mean u can use the machines functions correctly, this is a good example of that
