I think that at this time there is no alternative sampler to MPC4000. I'm not talkin' just about the structure of the machine but the things that can somebody do with that and how really "professional" is.We heard a lot about Roland's MV but no keygroups at all and its machine it's not compared to 4k's (remember it has a "z" machine, hehe!).Before MPC4000 there were some rack samplers that were pretty good (E4 Platinum was Emu's flagship sampler as well as the E6400,Roland's VP-9000 and Akai's S6000),but after its birth no one could find such a stand-alone sampling workstation. It's the first one with a rack/drum sampler combo,at 96/24, with many opyions and storage solutions. To me..simply the greatest sampler in the world!
