Micro Korg??!?! how ya feelin

anyone peeped the new micro korg? i got a couple of keyboards, thinkin of addin this - is it worth it? holler at me

This synth rocks. Much synth for not much money.

I've owned it a couple of montsh. My impresssion is that sounds are OK, sound edition is OK, but keyboard action is terrible, the micro keys are of poor build and their sensitivity is unpredicatble.
If you want to use it as a keyboard controller I suggest you get something else with a better keyboard (e.g. Alesis Micron). Strictly as a sound module it is OK.

what's the main sound you get out of these micro korg's? mostly bass right? or did i misunderstood¿

man, it's a virtual analog synth. the sound coming out depends on YOU. your creativity. leads, pads, fx and yes basses...

I was trying to figure out which keyboard to get a few months ago.I wanted the micro because of its size but I ended up geting a used ms2000 for about the same as a new micro...Its got the same sound engine but more knobs(so hypotheticaly less menu scrolling), a better vocoder and a modular seqencer -which is fun for making your sound pulse. Iv'e been enjoying it.you can only make for keys sound at once on either machine but thats cool your trying to make ambient nosie or bass lines right?good luck

the ms2000 i think was the better buy there.
so many sounds, knobs etc....but the microkorg is dope too.


i remember when the black ms2000 came out, the guitar center near me
was blowing out the blue rack version of the ms2000 for $99 each!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i heard about it after they were all gone...

I LOVE my MicroKorg.. Very easy to edit sounds in very cool ways.. Lots of crunchy, warm sounding tones built in. I would highly recommend it.

Its a cool little synth, big sound, its essentialy a MS2000B in a smaller package with some cheaper keys, once you get used to using the edit knobs its very easy to program, if you want a more substantial keyboard go for the MS2000B, but if you have a full size keyboard already to use as a controller get the microkorg. It's a good intoduction to VA synthasis, and puts out a sound that is much bigger than you would expect.

good for baseline's not so hot on big strings and pads but its a great little package.

i love my micro... they keys do indeed suck but its a solid unit. i mostly use mine for bass, leads, and noise/fx.

yo i peeped that ms2000 - real nice, real nice....i think im just gonna get that and run it midi (gettin the rack module). good lookin to everybody with the input!!! dont know who i'd ask with all these questions!!!
