are you talking about the ability to have a default seq with bar and tempo settings?

yeah sparq...can u do that on the 1000?

yes, you can. just make a seq and adjust your bars, tempo and even add kits (pgm's) if you want. then save it to internal memory and turn autoload on. whenever your mpc turns on, it will load that seq.

I'd really like the ability to input how many bars the sample is on the Timestretch screen, so when timestretching it adjust everything accordingly.

The 4k has that feature and it made timestretching a breeze....well except for the length of time it takes to do a timestretch on it, but you get the point.

This is what i would like to see in a future update:

While i'm laying on my coach after a hard day of work, i like the mpc to be able to walk to the fridge and serve me beer. Wouldn't that be wonderfull??

Naw, serious, i'm happy with what it does know, the bugs aren't that big...

Id like to second a few...
1) Id really love to see em put in that si mult option for the pads..Save hella time
2) As well as the abitlity to keep the usb clabe pluged in...

However, what yall think about being able to see the levels when resampling the main out...?

ok, some others that would be well fanciful

midi effects....say, like note repeat - but more complex - a realtime 'midi fx' that only effects pad/midi note events that are in an mpc seq/track.

- echo, you could use this to lay extra seq notes down in overdubs,
or echo pads triggered live by hand while the seq plays.

- delay, beef up a beat, scatter rhythmic patterns.

- chorus, repeats notes in seq closely pitching the note number around like traditional chorus does, with feedback controls.

- quantise, influence quantised position......moves events to a quantise grid.

- and control of the parameters of the midi-effect assignable to the qlink faders + buttons.

why dont AKAImake the MPC1000 AKsys compatible?
they should have all their samplers using AKsys, not just the big ones.

it would be very useful programming 1k instruments on a computer properly like i can with my Z8, using the software to edit everything via usb connecting the mpc and pc, instead of it just appearing as a CF reader.

you know the 1k already has delay, chorus, and quantise?

nah, not sure what u mean, but

i mean only affecting midi data in tracks not audio fx.
it would take less cpu power to acheive basically similar results as the 44.1k audio fx by echoing just the midi, but neater cos if its data as midi not audio data, it can be copied and pasted or messed with because you'd have it all recordable directly into the seq as midi notes etc.
