CPU Address Error??

Has any one ever had a CPU address error?

I was jamming away yesterday and the MPC just froze up.

And I lost all my work!

- I will be taking her back to the store, once I remove my harddrive and ram..

if you search the forums, you can find maybe one or two other people that have posted about this same thing. but its been pretty few and far between....

and i dont think anyone came up with a solution, or reason as to why it was happening to them.

that sucks....at least you got the option to return it though...

What exactly were you doing when you got the CPU address error?

ive gotten it in songmode...

I just got the cpu error.Its only when I try to load my hihat folder but I'm also getting an "end of file error" on another folder.I'm thinking of getting a new flash card since of been using this one since I got the 1000(6 months ago)..I dont really know what to do but reformat.

remormat and pray. get a new compact flash card and then if it dont work send back and pray it doesn't so it agoin when you put your hjarddrive back in

I wonder if it heat related from the harddrive?

I don't think it's got anything to do with heat. I don't have a HD and got the error, too, when I tried to convert a song to sequence.

ive gotten that too, simply tryin to load/save.....im losin my faith in this os fast, cause its **** up alot of my shit

i've never run into this. reinstall your os and try to make it reoccur by tracing your steps.

well,I'm not using an external h.d. so the heaty isn't an issue but I was wondering if it had anything to do with the new o.s. also I'll et y'all know what happens.

lol........it just happened to me while moving a single event in step edit a couple of times.....
it SUCKS..
also when using my EPS 16 w/ midi and step editing.....It sometimes mutes out most of my seq....
its wierd, like in step edit all events are still there and play when triggered individually, but when you play the seq it plays fine for like 2 bars and quits after that like there's nothing recorded after that 2 bars.....anyone got midi issues???

Yo Beatnick, I had the same exact error as you only ONCE (like 2 months ago)...Before I had the 2.1 OS. It got nothing to do with the update. Probably it just happens from time to time through some combination of steps you take while using the MP (a hypothesis ) And also my error occured after using it for like 4 hours staraight (not a lot), so I doubt it's heat related.
It's probably some random ish that happens to those unlucky like us.

dang it......It just happened AGAIN...
I JUST TURNED ON MY MACHINE and one minute later....CPU address error..
If I reload OS2 , and don't touch my HD...will everything still be there???
