Lately I've been tryin to get some crazy drum patterns in my tracks and I've been seein alot about double time..
I read a couple threads on this technique but I'm still not sure if I'm doin it right... I'm usin the Mpc 4000
First I have a sample/melody recorded with the tempo at 83.0bpm on a 4bar loop, then I double the tempo to about 166.0bpm and change from 4 bars to 8bar also go from 1/16 to 1/32... then I start recordin my drums/ drum rolls, etc.. but then after that I'm alittle lost what to do next...? Is this technique made for the kicks and claps,snares... because my drum rolls was krazy and on point but my individual kicks were off timed and soundin like shyt as far as placement..
or do I need to record my kicks off timed that way when I drop back to the normal tempo that they'll sound insane, or record my kicks like I'm doin techno music at a faster pace?
