Hi all,

First post - first MPC :D

I've got this thing on evaluation, and its growing on me by the hour. Gotta love that rock solid timing!

Anyway, I've methodically made my way through the manual, and everything is pretty easy to understand. I do have a couple of wishes though, which either don't exist, or escaped me during my reading session (I was a wee bit stoned at times ;)) :

1. In ChopShop, is there a shortcut key to move from region to region? Its a pain, selecting a region, going to the zoom page, adjusting the start/end in zoom, and then going back to select another region. A prev/next region key would be very handy, so you could stay in the zoom page!

2. Is there no way to make changes to all pads in a program at once? Say if I want to apply a Low Pass Filter to every Pad, do I really have to move through each one and apply the filter 16 times? Seems like a simple request, and I know you can do it in the Mixer page, but I haven't any solution for the Program page.

Forgive me if these are n00b questions.

Lastly, as I'm new, here's a little gift for you. 99 looped bass samples taken from my awesome ATC1. Perfect for fat hip hop basslines ;)

cheers!

Thanks for the samples rozzer 8)

I'm feelin you on that regions thing. I think in the next OS there should be a shortcut for skipping regions by holding shift and pressing the left/right cursors. This doesn't seem to do anything in that page so i can't see it being a problem.

It wouls be nice if you could use the q-link sliders to edit the start/end points of samples after you've chopped them too.

Oh well, I was hoping there was a way, and that I'd just missed it. I guess ChopShop is still a faily new feature so lets hope they add these things in a later OS.

Shift+left/right already moves the start/end point to 10s 100s 1000s etc on that screen but there's enough room to add a couple of soft keys. F1+F6 are free :)

Oops, forgot about that!

But yeah, f keys should be fine. Would definitely speed up the work flow

You can use Blue Box to do things that are repetative. It's good for setting up the pads to have acending midi note order or setting up the programs to have filters where you want it. It's a good way to set yourself a default program.

Thanks udenjoe. I have checked out Bluebox briefly. I was kinda hoping that there would be solution on the MPC itself, as the whole reason I bought it was so I could switch the PC off!

It seems a little odd to me that there are is no way to change all pads in a program, after all Akai samplers have had this this feature for YEARS.

I guess I gotta get used to the MPC way ;)

Another quick questions

1. Can you apply Timing Correction (swing etc) to more than one track at a time?
