Well i switch up every now and then and it also depends on my mood or how i want to approach the track. But as what they were sayin its totally up to you but **** i jus gave u a way i do it sometimez.
absolutely. just clearing it up to dom that there's no set method for "making hits"
that being said, i usually start with recording 3 or 4 samples onto my mpc, turning them into pgms chopped note for note, and going crazy with reprogramming. i lay a hat metronome down to give myself reference, and then add in a real basic boom bap.
from there, anything could happen, largely depending on whether or not i'm in my studio w/ my mpc or someplace else, or if i feel like keeping it organic or adding synths.
