Feature request: Multiple MIDI channels per track

Of course I would want any remaining bugs fixed first........

But, I would like to see Multiple MIDI channels per track. This is not an original idea. The MPC 3000 has the ability to have 2 MIDI channels per track. Akai's new MPD 24 has the ability to assign seperate MIDI channels per pad.

Combining these two features would be great:

I can see my MPC now.....Main Window: MIDI channel select: A, B, C, D, AB, CD, or ALL. Then...in the Program Menu/Note Select section...you hit a particular pad..the WINDOW key will light up..so you can select the MIDI channel and/or note for each pad.

This function will be extremely useful for triggering drum/percussion and other one-shot sounds from external MIDI sound modules. I can easily select different sounds from multiple programs (in the sound modules connected to MIDI Outs A-D) and create a new program within the MPC.....

But akai - don´t forget about my Quickload fuction - to quickly load a predifined song with samples in a live performance....

Just to clarify, you have AB selected in the Track Properties.
Then, when you hit a Pad and the Window button lights up... would you get the choice of the either AB (Track Props) or would you get the full choice of A,B,C,D,AB,CD ALL?

I mean either way would be great, good idea.


I would like to see the Window button be able to used while still playing on ALL functions. Like Track / Seq copy mainly, but all the other functions would be cool to.

i say yes yes yes to this , might aswell make full use of the already existing fautures and connectivity it has

..... and then some
