I have reached the conclution that I am just crap at sampling! and I am going to need practice.! there is no other explanation to it! i have had a sampler for about a week and I expect to be running the show! it aint gonna happen ! it can take a while im sure . I have found some ducuments on sampling so I shall look through them...http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/1996_ar ... sics1.html if you can suggest any other resources then please do so !

I can suggest, patience.

You aren't gonna be makin hits right outta the box if you are
in fact new to this (r u?)

So that's what all these questions were about, you trying to show your mpc who's boss?

If you had spent all this time experimenting on everything you read in the manual I think you would have gotten farther by now.

Spend more time experimenting.

just remember, there are no rules. when i have trouble sampling-i turn off quantize -and listen to the drum pattern loop a few times -then play the chopps.-then if it doesn't sound right do it over or go into step edit and make small time adjustments or time strech a chop.
