...and, with all the negativity around this forum, I'm not suprised... you can speculate about how a company does anything all day long, it doesn't mean you're right. Just like i could speculate how you use your MPC all day long, but it will never be anything but speculation.
I've been lingering around these forums for years - ever since I got my MPC4000, but I never joined because it was always such a pain in the arse to weed thru all the B.S. All the other forums I frequent - everyone one of them - are for help, not poking fingers and placing blame.
So, I decide to join to see if I could figure out about this 'System Test' error message - all because of one poll - a poll that I see now was just another bunch of negative B.S.
Seriously... you sit here and **** about them not addressing this error and then they come out with an update and you won't use it!!! Instead, you pick at their testers/engineers!!??!!
Whatever - I'm gonna go slap some pads.

First...you do have a choice to read or not read any of these threads...as you have the right to post or not post.
There are plenty of helpful threads if you do a quick search. Most questions have already been answered several times over. If there is so much negativity and BS...it is because of the BS product that Akai releases. These are real issues and not something just made up. Myself..along with several other forum members, have posted threads about OS bugs and info on how to work around some of these issues. We have always reported these problems in detail to Akai. Asking for a stable OS for something that we paid $2000 is not asking too much.
This is not speculation. Akai has released 3 operating systems for the 2500 that I have found bugs in within 24 hours. Do I have to repeat myself. I said within 24 hours. Whatever they are doing at Akai, I can say for certain that they are not using people that actually use MPCs to create music to test the OS before release. How in the hell can Akai miss something as note-repeat? How in the hell can you miss something like the MIDI outputs not working? The answer is quite obvious.
I haven't installed the latest OS because I got so frustrated that I am not even using the 2500. I need a break from beta testing the software for them. I will let the rest of the forum members do it and just read the threads for the fixes.
Yes, I will continue to bash who ever the hell Akai is getting to test the software. They are obviously not MPC users.
medullabuzz, continue to slap on your pads. Just don't do that with an MPC 1000. Also..if you have owned and used an MPC 2500, like the rest of us, you would be up in here sharing frustrations or suffering in silence......
