This sounds similar to my problem. After loading 5 short samples from CF card I was able to assign them to the appropriate pads in a program. I can then assign older samples to those pads via the jog wheel, (so far so good), however flipping back to my the newer samples I discover they have gone walkabout. Scolling through the list confirms this disappearance. No memory probs here. The thing is if I go back and try and re-load the newer samples from CF card I get the old replace same sample,err so i know the samples must have loaded but can't be seen in the program. In the end was able, at last to get my samples "in" by loading them individually, never had this prob. before. Thought it may have been related to the new OS (3.0), but had the same prob after reloading with OS 2.1. Flipped back to OS (3.0), cause I like the grit edit. Does this new OS feature the "assign sample to pad" when loading up a sample?

i think it does - that's a good workaround.

all in all it's a simple bug, not a bad one but one that does need to be addressed.

can anyone confirm how to make this bug happen? obviously it doesn't always occur, but sometimes.

Heres a display problem in grid edit mode.

1) Start with a sequence that has multiple events on multiple pads.
2) Use the Tap Tempo key and the data wheel/cursor keys to select a region containing multiple events.
3) Press the Window key and the Events window opens. If the region selected contains more than 5 events then the list of events overwrites the bottom frame of the Events window and you are not able to scroll through the list of events.

Also I noticed something else, which isn't really a bug. All the "hidden screens" are gone, or their shortcut keys have changed ?

another bug that i found is the snap in edit grid mode.

when i record some sequence in grid mode with the snap set 16/3 or 16/3 it dosen't quantize and lost the notes that i play

But one thing id like to have fixed is that you cant change the pitch in mass change mode while playing...

This is so awesome! Did u guys know that if you press the pad softly in the grid edit mode the sound will be entered low, but if you press hard it will be high! Sweet!!! I Love this guy!

1. MPC is slave to logic
2. press stop on mpc (logic still playing)
3. Press play on Mpc
4. Sound goes crazy (before it would just play normally - but out of sync)

yo what is direct record on tracks 61-64 do i dont get why its such a good feature i havenbt tested the os yet im waiting for my HD to get in tomorrow.

Slice function not working

Three cheers for OS 3, very nice work, very cool seeing and using the new features.

Some bugs:

A. On the slice screen, it would be helpful to have a primary auto slice mode where the MPC chops at the peaks, and a second mode to chop into even sections. It would also be helpful to use the sliders to move the start and end points on this screen.

B.1. place a memory card in the unit which has samples.
2. load a sample into the MPC
3. save this same sample back to the memory card
4. the cancel/rename/replace screen comes up (good), however when you press replace, it deletes the original samlpe from the card instead of overwriting it (bad). You have to repeat this process a second time (save/do it/replace) in order to write the revised sample back to the memory card.

This save screen is a bit buggy in general, one time the bottom half of this screen went wacky and all letters appeared jumbled and broken up (I could not recreate this) It also does not always list all of the samples in the internal memory when you go to save. As this system is not one hundred percent stable, it does seem that the save screen should be fixed early so people can save their work before it freezes up.

I hope to have a few hours this week to work on it to report other bugs.

One last question, can someone please confirm this is getting back to the author of the new OS, or is it better to write to him directly on his website?
