Nice ideas... but for me, saving the swing per sequence would not be as useful as if there were a way to save each track's swing setting, since I usually dont swing every sound in a sequence the same way.
not sure if i have been clear. in fact i use different swing settings in one sequence. the sequence would just remember the last swing setting used for this sequence.
would be useful when playing live (when adding extra rythmics on top of what was already recorded).
but in fact it is changing the swing in realtime which would be the real killer (no need to stop the mpc).
btw what do you guys think of the shift + note repeat function (held) ?
i thouhgt it would also do an auto quantize, but in fact most of the hits do not play (if they don't fall right on the quantize). i wonder how does the mpc2000 behaves with that ?
finally, i thought would be good to have a way to tap stuff without it being heard (when the track is muted maybe). might sound odd at first, but could be really usefull in live situation, when some stuff would sound too sloppy being played by hand (for instance the hihats off beat in techno at fast tempo)
