I will keep the list updated and I'll try to have it in order (from most wanted to less).

- MTC & MMC (as in mpc2500 os 1.2)
- Auto-chromatic programs: assign a sample to all pads with chromatic midi notes and tune (as in mpc2500 os 1.2)
- Recordable track mutes (as in mpc2500 os 1.2)
- More settings in Mode 11: LFO, envelope, mutes, etc.
- Preview sounds from disk (in load mode) while playing a sequence
- Show note duration in grid edit (with visual bars)
- Screensaver
- Individual filters per pad layer (if possible to keep sample acurate)
- Individual envelopes per pad layer (if possible to keep sample acurate)
- Trim mode > Edit: insert sound (like in older mpc's)
- Grid mode: show bar/step info
- Full ADSR envelopes support
- Qlink sliders send cc messages through midi in realtime and record them
- Swing shift timming: ability to choose elarlier or later (like in older mpc's)
- Real-time modulation of loop points (with a MIDIvalue, LFO or ENV)
- Tap tempo: tap averaging up to 8, 12 or 16
- Ability to move/rearrange regions in chop mode

I will keep updating this list based on the feedback. Wich features to you miss most?

uhhh no. why would i sell my 1k and get 2500 when akai could just not be retarded and put some key features in the OS that should be there in the first place. That the 2500 might not even have. Doesn't make sense to spend the extra money. I cant justify the price difference between the 2500 and 1k with the prices of a used 1k so good these days.

Already implemented in new os version 1.0:
- MTC & MMC (as in mpc2500 os 1.2)
- Auto-chromatic programs: assign a sample to all pads with chromatic midi notes and tune (as in mpc2500 os 1.2)
- Recordable track mutes (as in mpc2500 os 1.2)
- More settings in Mode 11: LFO, envelope, mutes, etc.
- Swing shift timming: ability to choose elarlier or later (like in older mpc's)

Yeah!

the ability to link pads would be dope!

so crucial for taking a drum and adding that
same drum filtered differently (like with a lo pass).
thickens up your drums so nicely.

its such a classic, easy technique on older mp's that its
a shame that its a bit more of a pain in the ass to do on the 1000.

I'd like to see:

- Note on release.
- Edit note parameters in grid edit (select note-hit window and being able to change durations-velocity-you name it etc.)
