Wow.... Just when I thought Umeko (JJ) couldn't out-do himself (herself), I finally decided to pay for the new OS, and I got my password back in literally 10 mins. Actually, it might have been less, but 10 mins later was when I checked my email, and it was there already... Man this cat is really on his sh1t for sure. I'm guessing that part of the reason is that it is now midnight here, so I guess it is noon or so in Japan, so it is in the middle of a business day and all. Anyway, I just wanted to give dude props for his excellent customer service and speedy delivery.

For those wondering, I paid with a credit card, not that it necessarily made any difference, but I thought someone might want to know.

Thank you JJ (I wonder if he (they) visit this forum?!)

NO YOU DON'T... you just have to have a paypal account which is somehow linked to A) your CREDIT CARD or B) a BANK ACCOUNT. Thats the way it's handled in germany.

I already had a PayPal account, but my balance was $0.00, so I just used my credit card. The credit card was already linked to my paypal account, if it wasn't, I probably would have had to add it and wait for paypal to approve it as a valid card, etc. Not sure if that would have taken long or not, I can't remember how long it took when I originally added it as a payment option for my account.

So to answer your question, you DO need to have a paypal account, and either a validated credit card, or a validated bank account to do a direct transfer. To get a bank account validated for the first time with a new paypal account takes about 3 business days I think, not sure about the credit card validation.

Check out http://www.paypal.com , it's all there.

I was really looking forward to receiving a code tonight because it's been forever since I played this much with my MPC (been programming a shitload at work and on sidejobs and just haven't had time... shameful, I know hehe)

It's been a couple hours and no go. (and I need sleep) My PayPal already had a balance and I'm verified several score transactions deep. It's now a lil before 6am EST in the US, dunno where the folks who generate codes live... (it'd be nice if it was automated...)

I am really digging all the new features though. Crazy how much JJ's been overhauling just in the last month or two. (track mutes.... even editable in Step Edit! Better auto slice [plus stereo!] and auto chrom, sliders tied to swing and to program-wide realtime sweeps! changeable sequences midway through! I can imagine actually gigging and having fun doing shitloads on the fly now!)

I know this is OT for this thread but are the 4 "audio" tracks real workable yet? I never really got the hang of em before...

Looking forward to that code and wishing I'd been able to save tonight!
