ya im tired of spidif heres my reason and curiousity.. when ever i sample using spidif from my alesis multimix mixer to my mpc1000 i notice in log mode in trim that the kicks look dull where it should be big sense its punchy compared to the rest but the bass is highly visible. now when i sample using analog i can see clearly..but the wav shapes are weird... heres my example.. sense i sample only in mono this could be a question on quality cables... the wavshape when i sample in analog dont always travel up and down... lets devide the wav shape top will be top channel and bottom will be bottom channel remember this is mono.. so in the top channel the wavshape starts at 0 and goes up then down passed zero to the bottom channel then goes up to the top channel agin back to 0. well in my situation it doesnt do that instead it starts at 0 goes up then down but doesnt make it to the next channel until a couple wav shapes later then i see a wavshape apear at 0 going down the bottom channel.. not nym posted a link to tweak heads on cables in one of these post but i read it and didnt fully understand but maybe this is my problem that i got me some cheap ass cables or maybe i need a break box to fix the signals.. the sound sounds great but to edit in analog is kinda iffy.. any help would be uber apreaciated
