I know this is probably a silly question, but I am a new mpc user and I was just wondering who is JJ. Or what does JJ stand for.

While I wish Akai's updates would be quicker, and there are things I'd like changed with the 2500 (e.g. filters on a per-track basis, midi-sync to be 100% perfect, proper-sounding timestretching like I can get using £75 software) I'm very wary of a third party coming along with their own OS, promising far more than Akai are delivering. If Akai had designed the MPC with the features offered by JJ in mind, surely Akai would be implementing these features?

, I don't agree that software should be able to produce better timestretching results than hardware, especially when that hardware costs five or ten times the software. It's not like the 2500 is trying to manage an OS, Logic, 10 plugin instruments + double the amount of FX. There are Reaktor ensembles put together by enthusiasts which put the 2500 to shame in that respect. For me, if you advertise timestretching as a feature, it better be bloody good, and I don't think I'm expecting too much here.
Yes I know everyone has a laundry list of things they want fixing, and I did say I wish Akai's updates were a little more regular. Just because someone doesn't post twice a day don't think they don't know what's going on...

Wow, before the 3rd party OS was released...I didn't here any grumbling about your machine and its OS. You were running around talking about you had a baby MPC 2500...or that we are using an 1000XL. Get serious will you? That JJ OS had over 30 bugs. I never heard a peep from you about how unstable it was until JJ announced a new OS![]()
Don't really care if that OS is so bad...I use an MPC 2500 (I am in the right thread, no?)...don't really care about the 3rd party OS for the 1000.
This is all about my baby....the MPC 2500. You heard it here first. The 3rd party OS will not be more stable than the OS I am using right now...

18 hours a day, my ass! That leaves you with 6 hours a day to eat, sleep, $hit, shower, and shave. What about work? How do you fit THAT into your schedule? Don't tell me your one of the many here that "work in the industry", cause I'll still call bull$hit unless you can actually prove that or ANYTHING that just spewed outta your fingertips! You done now? Or do I gotta go grab myself a clothes-pin to put over my nose... cause it REEKS of bull$hit in this thread now! :p
