first post so hi all. Could you help a noob out, I got an MPC 1000 OS 2.something.
Not intending to use it for drums but rather layered stuff and some klick klick beep beep to accompany the analogue gadgets I have.
So my problem is when I got a descent sample I want to use or parts of it I mostly got 1 or 2 useable seconds there. I rather need it to play like a synth tho, with endless decay up to the point where I take my finger off the pads or even longer, sometimes even a few beats long.
Is there an easy way to accomplish that on the 1k or do I rather have to chop up the samples with something like wavelab and create loops that aren't recognisable as such and sound like one endless tone? When I tried chopping them on the MPC the start and end points were always audible in the end.
Sorry if this all sounds dumb, but the whole timestrech, reverb, delay search here on the forums didn't get me any further
thanks
bob
