Another possible reason is your audio path (assuming you are sampling through the analog inputs). Try checking your signal path, output levels, record levels etc.

I went and bought battery 3......so I was ALL hyped up about importing my pgm's into battery ...so I import a mpc pgm into battery AND BATTERY CRASHES..... I try with the XL shit worked perfect.........but with the 2500 beats its a no go ......NI needs to get their shit stright.....jahrome if u can try and load a pgm from your mpc 2500 into battery 3 and see if it crashes..aswell try and load up any other pgms from another mpc like a 2000 or 3000 what ever u have .....
