how i do "repley press" to sample

hello
i want to know how can i do a repley press.
for example, i want to press on a hi hat sample one time and it will repeat on himself till i leave him

Maybe note repeat is what you are looking for, read up on it, it's in the manual.

Then you will need to put the sample in loop or build your own MPC os that lets you do that kind of funky stuff.

2000 classic, make the sample a loop in the trim screen
2000xl use note repeat

Making a short sound like a highhat automatically repeat by looping it in the trim/loop section is a real backwards way to work. You not only have to insert silence and then make a new sample to make it the length you want to repeat at, but then f*** with that back and forth until you get the correct length. And since you have to trial and error that in a sequence anyway, it would be much faster to use the machine like it's meant to be used. Which is of course, just make a sequence with the tempo you want, and then tap the pad you assigned the sample to. Then when you press play, its' repeating when and where you want it to. In the time it took you to read my rediculously long post, you could have laid that high hat already. Jesus christ.

If what you want is to pres one pad once, to start a sample playing, then press it again, to stop it playing, you need to sequence it.

Sequencing is also in the manual, but if you have problems with English, maybe you can get a friend to translate for you?
