Hi guys.
I think im trying to do the impossible, but i thought i'd run it past the experts before i gave up:
I use my MPC1000 (original os) to play along to samples/backing tracks with my band. I have the mix for the front of house going out of the assignable outputs 1 & 2. Stereo outputs/headphones is sent to me so i can hear a click for the sequenced backing tracks.
MY problem is that i have to trigger horn line samples without using the sequencer i.e. pad hits, i cannot monitor them in my headphones because they go out of outputs 1 & 2. Some of them are loops so i have to hear them for staying in time!
I am essentialy trying to get a sample to be triggered and then be played out of more than one output.
Any solutions? I have tried:
1) Assigning 2 pads the same midi note in an attempt to get one to play a sample that goes to front of house, and triggering the same sample on another pad assigned to my cans/stereo out. NO luck.
2) Using the effects to send a bypassed effect signal to the cans but that won't work because the effects only work on the stereo output
I have a SPD 20 as a midi controller but it can only send out one midi note per hit so that's out.
Any one wnat to take up the challenge?
Will the JJ OS solve this problem?
Thanks, Neil
