no, its for live stuff like if im jamming with my mc's, trying to make something on the spot;

i want to have a _bunch_ of different programs all loaded up, then if i feel like dropping a a chromatic bass or something, i will just scroll to that program and start playing the bass. without having to stop the beat and load.


its the same reason why workstations have like 512 programs or that type of thing.

64 programs, I can see..anything more than that....it's time to move up to an MPC 4000.

The MPC-4000 can handle up to 128 Parts per Multi simultaneous?

How about linking two MPC-1000's together for a live gig? Might be around the same price as a used MPC-4000 though...
