I appreciate your opinion man, but I was only expressing mine.
Likewise, I ain't gonna get worked up if you tell me that James Brown is more influential than the Winstons. Nevertheless, what I'm saying is that one track by The Winstons compared with a massive back catalogue of James Brown tunes has, arguably, had a greater influence on music.
Yeah, Hip Hop is massive compared to Drum 'n Bass, but elements of Amen Brother now exists in so many different genres of music that I draw comparisons of it to tracks like Impeach The President, but on a larger scale.
Amen Brother spawned a genre, James Brown has influenced Hip Hop ever since it's creation.
Anyway, you have your opinion and I have mine.
Peace.
HERES A LITTLE INFO FOR YOU:
"Funky Drummer" (also known as "The Funky Drummer") is a funk instrumental recorded by James Brown and his band. The recording's drum solo, performed by drummer Clyde Stubblefield, is one of the most frequently sampled rhythmic breaks in hip hop and drum and bass music. By some accounts "Funky Drummer" is the single most sampled recording ever.
so it wasnt just amne break that started that genre!!!!!
i aint tryin to argue this is just knowledge
