Torah, Koran, Sutra, Bible, Proverb, Teaching different paradigms from all over the world with poeple as part of their culture. I`m from America, my culture is predominated by my surroundings, the music, the manners, is a part of all that. Music from many parts of the world is used in some kind of way with the spirit it always has been. Some call it a natural high, spiritual high, or just the groove. Be it tribal or traditional. For me personal I see no problem understanding the influences God has on music. Point in example, Marvin Gaye most would recognize had a great influence on R&B credits God. Aretha Franklin who is heavily sampled in today`s music also credits God in her music. DMX, Chingy, and others my point is for each of these artists whether you check it or not always speak, teach, and live with some way God in their music. That I believe is where their talent, power, and motivation comes from. Grandmom talking to ya, your own heart calling to ya, life`s ups and down, and how do one one keep trying in one`s daily struggle.
This can`t be life, this can`t be love, Jay-Z
I would never excluded you for what you believe, your cool with me, just do you feel that the spirit moves you in your music making like these others.
I sample and this are some of my sources many a time reading the labals and the inserts on records and cds I come across this from the musicians history, thier music legacy. Hip Hop`s ancestors
