I finally figured it out. I was messing around with my swing settings and i stumbled apond that perfect swing. If you set the swing for your kick and snare at 60% and your hi hat at a regular 50% it will give your drum track a real head noding swing. Think about it, almost every track you hear
(especially a boom bap kind of beat) has that 60% swing on the kick and snare. Another thing I wanted to put yall on to is not to just have the i hat on "every" 16th or 8th note. Don't cluter the drum track with mad rides and symbles. Embellish the kick and snare or instead of having a double kick befor the snare put a double hi hat. Trust me that will give your drums a hot bounce and swing.
Try it! i garantee your drums will ride better.
See how i be lookin out for my fello mpc heads, f*ck wit your boy.
