yet the law still states that you are technically supposed to clear it before u sample it. most dont/wont and i agree its a waste of money to clear samples that might be unuseable but knowing the law is important. ive seen a lot of wide spread non truths in this thread. this statement is usually how things are done but legally it isnt technically correct

...but i thought most of sampled music,you have to pay them when the record (or song) sells.and what if i just sell my beats just to "signed" artists not unsigned.
but what if i were on a label (as a producer) then do they have to pay for the sample????
