indough wrote:Damn your being real stupid. You didn't even specify 'readily available' in your original post, now your backtracking and changing your argument at will. yes ordering off ebay does make it readily available, yes finding 3 copies the first time I look does make it readily available. No there are not more betamaxs still around than copies of Dre's 2001. Yes people who overuse the rolleyes icon are ignorant morons.

Using Indough's logic, (as long as you can enter in keywords & click) that is not so....CLICK HERE

Yeah its at $12 with 5 days to go, plus its a CD, not vinyl. Thats hardly the same thing as what I pointed out with the 2001 records.
Once again, you're little definitions of what makes something readily available don't mean anything. If you can get something for a price, then thats what it's worth. END OF STORY, CASE CLOSED, PERIOD.
See..your missing the point. Readily available means that you don't
need tools (internet, eBay, etc) to get what you want/need. Off the bat, to find this, what did you do?? You hit a
SEARCH button.
Search = 1: To look into or over carefully or thoroughly
in an effort to find or discover something. 2:
to make painstaking investigation or examination.
Readily = Without much difficulty.
Available = Present, or ready for immediate use.
(These are not my definitions but Merriam Webster)
Readily available means you have the choice of do I wanna use the internet, do I wanna go to the local record store, do I wanna buy from an online store, do I trade a record with the thousands of people looking to trade this specific record, etc, because "I can easily get what I want/need from anywhere, anytime"....(ie: present, or ready for immediate use, without much difficulty). From your point of this argument,
if you don't have the internet/computer, don't like shopping online (there are still people who don't like using computers for purchasing and putting in personal info),
are the type that loves the record store experience versus online buying, you do not have an eBay account, don't agree with eBay/PayPal policies so you don't support them (again, there are people out there)
, had a bad experience on eBay and are leery with purchasing, or even if there was no such thing as eBay, guess what....it's not
readily available to get Dre' 2001 vinyl. Any one of those reasons listed can stop you from copping the vinyl, so that x's "
readily" (ie: without much difficulty) right there.
I counted 6 Betamaxes to your 3 vinyls, so I don't know what the hell your talking about.
Is Dre's vinyl
available....yes, it's out there (ok, you've proven that). Can I get it anytime, anywhere, wherever, whenever, equaling readily available without having to
search (ie: in an effort to find or discover) for it....no.
The CD
IS readily available because I can go to Circuit City, Rhapsody, Virgin Megastore, mostly any/all online store that sells hip hop CDs, Best Buy, eBay, URGE, burn the CD from a friend, mom & pop record stores, Wal-Mart, Super Wal-Mart, Target, pawn shops, ITunes, and maybe even the bootleg guy on the corner, and come up on however many copies no problem. (again...ie: without much difficulty)
I still challenge you to find at least
3 LPS IN A REAL RECORD STORE IN THE REAL WORLD since they are readily available to you.
