Normaly the decay stage of an envelope folows right after the attack stage has reached its maximum level.
If you wait +-30msec before the decay stage is activated, you hear no difference with higher attack settings. But with the attack on 0, you will get a 30msec log pulse. This gives the envelope lots more punch, and makes the attack part of a sound much more snappy.
It is a realy usefull addition for any drumsampler/synth.
Is it possible to implement this in OS2?
Edit:
And different kind of slopes for the attack decay and release would be cool to.
