Another tiny thing which I found very handy from the Akai os is note repeat hold available in the program\note screen.
I use that screen to change the notes of the pads to make it possible to play melodies on a couple of pads next to each other. A lot of my melodies are played with note repeat on. The problem I have now is that I need to hold the note repeat button all the time and I also have to select the pads and use the scroll wheel to change assigned notes. Often if I release the noterepeat and press it again the tempo is changed.

Sander wrote:I like to have the mute screen colors reversed like the earlier JJ os version and Akai OS. I can't get used to it. It's so logical to me that if something is selected(black) it is on. Why did JJ reverse the color. I work with an XL2K aswell and mostly record my songs live by playing with the mutes. Also when I perform live for an audience I do it this way. If I use the JJ OS I have to think everytime I want to mute or unmute someting.
Most of you are proberly allready used to it, but I have allways wondered why it was changed. I have to admit that I allways use the 2000 in the studio and de 1000 with akai os for performances, but now I like to make use of the mute recording feature of the JJ os in the studio and so I start using the 1000 a lot more.

ie. shift+pad to jump on that track on the main screen.
This would be so handy.
Sander wrote:In the load screen beeing able to select the file type. This can be done in Akai os. So if you have a load of files in one folder, like me, it's very handy to select only samples or sequences, or programs.
arebee wrote:yeah - funny cos i wanted that a while back, so i could use the sliders for the correct tracks without going back to main screen every time to check, but i requested two F buttons onscreen [track-]/[track+] instead , yours is more elegant idea - in addition mbe the track could have a bigger outline to clearly show the selected track too......., but both would be great to use, u must request to JJ!

one thing i've mentioned before is loop and altloop crossfades, maybe in the JOINT page. i've thought it through a little more now.http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/os2/trim22.jpg
my biggest problem with looping is the damn click you get. you really have to fight that to get it out of your loop. that's why i'd love tiny little crossfades in loop to smooth that out. i'd love for this crossfade NOT to use additional polyphony but if they had to, i would still be happy.
this would help so much.
