Is it possible to resample sounds back into the MPC 1000 like on a ASR 10 once you have used EFX ?.

yup

Go to the Record screen, and record the Main Out (rather than the Input or whatever it says)

hit play and hit record

there's no monitor reading for whatever reason

if you want the levels to be correct, go to the OTHER screen and change the master level to 0dB

If you really need the monitor, you could send your main outs to a mixer or something and then back into the MPC through either the analog in's or SPDIF

as long as you turned off 'Monitor' in the record screen you wouldn't get a feedback loop

If JJ could at it though that would be nice I suppose, seems like it would have already been done though if it were possible. Maybe it's some kind of hardware limitation.

Actually there is a way to get a monitor reading in the mpc while recording the main outs.

1. Make sure you are recording the main outs (mode + pad 5) input: main out

2. Go to an audio track ( shift > F4)

3. Go to grid edit (mode + pad 15)

Once you press and hold down the record button, you should see a meter (LR) in the bottom right corner of the track box ( on the left side of your screen). You'll also see "Main Out Stereo" .

When you press play along with the record, after the countdown the meter will reflect the volume of the audio being recorded.

There is no db reading, but i assume that if it reaches the top of the box then the audio is clipping. In which case you could adjust it in the effects section or master level (mode + pad 10)
