"oh, and mac would be nice, but if you love the mpc, youll love a synth. how are you gonna sequence software synth from mpc? yeah i know it can be done, but that defeats the purpose of the mpc......in that case you should just go all software, and get a mp16 pad. BUT if you really need a computer for recording, it may be worth it. How do your beats stand alone just on the mpc?"
well you see, if I could produce pads, sweeps, whatever with the mpc then I certainly would and yes I do intend to sequence my software with the mpc but how does that defeat the purpose? do you even know what you're talking about?
yeah dude, you can make some good synth patches and basses with the triton.....even though its a rompler you can do all the synthesis......granted it may not have some of the types of filters and shit like a nord lead would have, but its definately good enough, plus you can sample shit, then add it too synthisis-combine it with tons of sounds or more samples. Or you can add the moss expansion board for the VA sounds, its a similar engine to the MS2000.
the triton is kind of like having the sampling of the mpc, a rompler, and ability to do VA all in one, so you can combine sampling and synthesis like you would want to with the mpc. Creating pads on the triton is easy too. And you can add tons of effects. If you go to
www.tritonhaven.com to the downloads section, you can download .pcgs for the triton, there are some sets that have a million differant variety of pads-try the legacy collections.
I think sequencing software from the mpc defeats the purpose because you might as well use a software sequencer.
