Yeah, man. I used to own the 2000, so I thought it was just that. But every XL I have used has the same thing going on. What it seems like is, the transient at the begining of your start point is going to be sort-of accurate. Then, at the end of samples, it's worse. Lets say for example that you want to cut a sample from a kick, to right before the snare hits. You may end up cutting a good portion into the snare itself, and you won;t even hear it when you trigger the sample! I am sure you experienced that type of thing. I will say that it's a hell of alot less time consumiong than
cutting ish up with the ASR or the 950, both of which I enjoy using, regardless of the lack of waveform. Now that I have an XL, though, the ZONE slice function lets me fly through chopping, even quicker than using protools!
