Is it possible to have a sample looping while you hold down the pad, then when you release it, it plays from the loop end point until the end of the sample?

M02 wrote:Yes you can do this. You set loop to 'on' than make sure the little padlock is 'unlocked' ie. start/end points are not locked to the loop start/end. You can then adjust your sample start/end time independantly of the loop start/end time, and it should function like you want.

really? i don't think this will work. a looped samples always stops at loop end, not sample end.

Then it would finish playing the loop, then play from the loop end point to the actual end point... Has this ever been done before?

cosign. in a way the infrastructure already exists for this in the OS (layers). JJ would just have to make it so you get something like "play LAYER 1 on note-on, play LAYER 2 on note-off".wudsiba wrote:Once you hit the pad it would play from the start point, through the loop point, to the loop end, and loop forward or alternately until the pad is released. if i remember correctly the Ensoniq ASR-10 can do this. i'm sure there are others.
