Ok I know some people will say :wtf, use your MPC to make music and dont ask that strange questions.
But I'm interestet in the deep inside of any machine cause nearly every old machine got a strange behaviour that someone would call "soul" (others would say "bug"
).
The topic today: the lost samples.
Fact: the MPC2000s A/D coverter is a 44,1kHz / 16bit converter right??
Ok did you ever sample exactly 1 second??
Do it and then switch to the trim screen. Ups what happen to the endpoint?? In theory it should be at 44100 but the sample is only 436xx or 437xx long.
So what happened to the 3xx other samples??
peace
