1. The MV’s 128 MIDI tracks with only 16 parts is embarrassing for a multi-timbral sampler.
2. MPs Effects. It really doesn’t matter if you believe what I posted or not. But the fact remains, I wrote about a real world test and the results are accurate.
3. So now you claim that the MVs discontinued expensive output board is an option because most don’t use it? Of course it isn’t used in the bedroom studios where you will find 99% of MVs. But with your line of thought, you don’t need a CD drive in an MP since you can load files directly from a CF card (which the MV doesn’t have). With the addition of the USB functions, you can access the MPs hard drive and CF card simultaneously from a PC/Mac.
4. The MVs timing issues:
http://www.mvnation.com/phpBB/viewtopic ... 22&t=11834. You don’t have such issues using an MP. No one would trust a machine that goes out of sync in a studio. Very few professionals use an MV anyway. Have you listened to Rza’s tracks since he started using an MV? It’s like the MV has robbed his music of all it’s soul (and I am not just talking about samples).
5. Rumor on the street is that the MV-8800 is discontinued to make room for the MV-9000. Roger Linn/Dave Smith is preparing everyone with their Linn Drum II. Akai is about to shock all with the release of the MPC 5000XL, the first keyboard version of an MPC with full-sized MPC pads to become the new leader in keyboard sampling workstations (since some of you believe the Fantom G is a failure) and remain the leader in pad-oriented workstations.
I really enjoy having this friendly debate even though it means nothing to the outside world. But....even with all these different tools at our disposal, I have yet to hear much of anything coming from you guys as far as music. Having 10,000 sounds that are limited to 1 multi-effect processor doesn't mean anything but someone posting what they read from a users manual they downloaded.
This dude used to ride the d**k of the MPC 3000 & 4000. Now, he's riding a failure. Two failures: the MPC 5000 & Fantom G.
I warned you several times to stop taking things personal because its not. But if your beatz are wack with your MP, I suspect they will be wack with an MV. Real-talk...(as opposed to fake talk)
